This week, I had a chance to work on my bead-embroidered Russian painting.. I am working on a small section which will be the door just below the Kremlin clock tower.
I have used all kinds of beads: cubes, bugle beads, hex cuts, Tilas, and 11/o and 8/o seed beads so far.. If I had known about Half-Tila beads, I probably would have used some… Oh well, maybe next time..😦
This small beaded section measures 10cm x 12cm.
I still have a long way to go on this piece.. What do you think? :O
16″ x 17″

If you need a new project to occupy these cold winter months, this is the best time to purchase a beading kit or pattern. I found a few printed versions of my beaded Jack Russell Terrier pattern, so am now offering those in the shop. These printed versions will include a pre-cut felt doggie shape so you can start beading right away! Supplies are limited, so please stop by The Lone Beader’s Gallery Shop and take a peek. Thank you for your interest and support. Happy beading and best wishes for a sparkly 2014!😀
I am really into making tiny beaded earrings these days! Here are my latest pair of beaded Scottie Dog earrings. These are very lightweight – only 8 grams! Beadwork hangs from small sterling silver ear wires. These Scottie Dogs are wearing pink beaded collars, but I can make them in any color you wish.. These can also be made as tiny post earrings.. Please click the pic for more details.
Also, just a quick note to let you know that I am running a 2-Day Sale in my Etsy shop – this weekend only! There is a new beaded poodle available for sale in my Etsy shop! This is a tiny black bead-embroidered poodle which was made with size 11 and size 15 seed beads. This piece can be worn as a pin or a pendant. This design can also be made in your favourite color upon request:)
I have also created new beaded Pug earrings! These are very tiny. They were made with size 15 seed beads and sterling silver fish hooks. These earrings were made in a freeform peyote stitch technique – they actually move when you touch them. This pair of earrings sold VERY quickly. Currently, they are listed on Etsy as made-to-order. Please click the pics for more details.
These items will make the perfect gifts for the dog lover in your life. Order early and beat the holiday rush.. Thanks for your interest in my beadwork! :D
This has been a long time coming, but I am finally beginning to venture into the world of Youtube. For my first presentation, I created a slideshow which takes a quick look at my beading patterns and kits. Please like, share, or comment if you have a moment.. Thanks for watching!
Beading has been keeping me busy! Last week, I received a custom order for a very special beaded dog pin – an American Eskimo Angel.
I created this unique Eskie brooch using 11/o and 15/o seed beads, as well as tiny 13/o charlottes in several different whites. I created the dog’s head first, then the wings. I stitched both pieces of beadwork together once everything was complete. The most difficult part was stitching the tiny fringe on the dog’s mane – I had to use pliers to pull the needle through the beads! I think the results are worth the effort.. It sort of looks like Native American bead embroidery to me. What do you think? I believe the spirit of this beautiful dog will now live on forever:)
Please check out more progress photos on my Facebook page. If you are interested in a custom beaded angel pin in memory of your favourite dog, please contact me through my Etsy shop. Custom orders will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. Thanks for your interest in my beadwork!
