“The exhibit will have a refreshing range o diversity in techniques, as well as a strong common denominator: playful, colorful imagery that falls in a mid-point between abstraction and reality, often touching on fantasy while retaining a grounding in reality. All of the artists use – and alter- life imagery as a springboard to express their views.”

Take the T to Harvard Square..

Today, I am thrilled to announce that my beaded cuff bracelet, Poodle in Public Garden, won an award in the Fire Mountain Gems 2015 Seed Bead Jewelry Making Contest! :O
Yesterday, I received these framed photos along with a gift certificate to Fire Mountain Gems!
I am always surprised on the rare occasions that I do win an award because I don’t create pieces with contests in mind. I simply create what I love! You can view more photos of this piece in my Etsy shop HERE. Thank you for your interest in my beadwork!

Also, check out my latest custom order – a beaded Blue Roan English Cocker Spaniel pin. This piece was created by stitching tiny glass beads to felt. Tiny beaded fringe was layered to make the dog’s ears & body look dimensional. Beaded fringe actually moves when you touch it. This design can be customized to look like your English Cocker Spaniel!
