>Beadwork Inspired by the Beach

>

I hope everyone is enjoying their Memorial Day weekend! The weather has been beautiful in Boston almost all week. I have even had the chance to spend one day at the beach already! I have also been walking at least an hour per day on the beach just to get a little exercise in between beading projects.

So, my latest small work is inspired by something I saw at the beach one day. I posted a photo on my Facebook page yesterday, and some people tried to guess what it was, and finally someone got it right! It’s a parasail! One flew right over my beach chair! It was so beautiful, and a very different type of vehicle for me to bead! So, I cut out some felt, and lazy stitched some red & white seed beads. I also used some larger black & gold Czech glass beads that I got on my trip to the Czech Republic! I’m just about finished with this part. Next I will need to create a parasailer! How do you think it looks so far?🙂
