Beadwork has been keeping me busy! Over the weekend, I received another custom order for my Etsy shop – a request for a beaded Bichon dog pin! 😀
Working from a photo that my customer sent to me, I cut out 5 felt shapes and stitched them together. Then, I stitched on a 2 glass eyes and a nose.
Then, beginning with the dog’s face, I stitched on tiny size 15 Japanese seed beads. I used 4 different shades of white. At first I worked in beaded backstitch, but as I moved on to the dog’s body, I got lazy and lazy-stitched most of the beads 2 or 3 at time.
Semi-beaded Bichon pin. 2.5″ x 1.5″ (6.5 x 4cm).
Bead embroidery on felt.
After a few hours, I finally completed the first layer of beadwork. Next, I need to add some type of fringe for ears and a tail. How do you think it looks so far? 😀
>Thanks everyone! I am really happy with the way this is turning out! And yes, I have been accepting custom orders through my Etsy shop. Keeps me busy! 😀
