>Perfect Beaded Railing

Yay! I finally finished the beaded railing on my beaded White House! It is made with only size 15 seed beads and nylon thread. It took me awhile to do it because I didn’t like it at first. I was trying to be a perfectionist which caused me to rip out the beads twice! But now, I think it’s fine. I really like the second story railing, so I will just move on. I have to keep telling myself that it is only art, not an exact replica of the White House! 😮

Bead embroidery on felt. Work in progress.

Anyways, I still plan to layer some seed beads on the columns, then I will continue beading the roof! I am hoping to get everything finished this week so I can move on to the next element of my beaded painting… Wish me luck! 😮

  1. >Be PROUD Diana…it’s gorgeous! The railing turned out great. I smiled that you ripped out being too much of a perfectionist…oh, I’ve done the same thing. You are right…it’s okay…it’s art…not an exact replica.I almost ripped out my flag on the bjp because one stripe of beads was off…but I forced myself to say it was okay! 😉

  5. >This is really coming out nice. I know you hate to see your pieces leave you but I think in this historical election post-season, I think you may find some competition from people who want to buy this one!I pointed to your blog posts about inchies when I posted my newest one this week. I hope they come to see yours as they are terrific.
