>Beaded Top Dog

I hope everyone here in the States has been enjoying the long Presidents Day weekend. I have been keeping busy as usual. On Saturday, I listed a few items in my Etsy shop. These are some of my earliest works, including a beaded chickadee, a tufted titmouse bird, and a collectible baby sea turtle button (for sewing). I have been debating on whether I wanted to part with the turtle because he turned out so cute, but I figured that a button collector might really enjoy him… 🙂 You can check out my new listings here:

Yesterday, I started beading a new dog for my shop! This dog is inspired by the Sussex Spaniel named Stump who won Best in Show at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. If you haven’t seen Stump yet, check him out – he will make you smile! 🙂 My beaded Sussex Spaniel is about halfway finished. I think I’m going to add another layer of bugle beads and some beaded fringe so that his legs appear to be short. He should be complete later this week. 😀

And, the news of the day is that my beaded Irish Jack Russell Terrier pin was mentioned in a beady newsletter on Bead-Patterns.com. It is actually an interesting coincidence, because I was toying with the idea of creating a pattern for this pin to sell in my Etsy shop. I finally figured out how to create a PDF file, so all I have to do is start writing the instructions. But, before I start selling beading patterns and/or kits, I want to make sure they are protected by a copyright. I will need to do a little research about how to do that… One thing is for certain, this idea will definitely give me something to work toward! 😀
