beaded Einstein sheepdog dog Back to the Future pop art bead embroidery beading seed beadsSemi bead-embroidered Einstein dog pin. 2.75″ x 2″ wide (7 x 5cm wide). Commission in progress.

Here’s the finished first layer of the beaded Einstein pin I’m working on. I am trying to keep track of the time I spend doing the beadwork. So far, I spent approx. 4 hours beading this little sheepdog! It takes a long time to do bead embroidery with size 15 seed beads! Either that, or I am slow! Look how many stitches there are so far:

Next, I have to add some fringe for hair.
How long do you think that will take?

  1. >I don’t think you are slow unless you spend all waking hours beading! I however am queen of slow – couldn’t even pass a typing class because I couldn’t get enough speed!

  2. >LB, Einnstein is just fantastic — can hardly wait to see him when more layers are on — it is GREAT. “Someday” I am just going to have to try a black lab (my Polly) — my excuse is I don’t have enough shades of black beads — or the right size — but one day — yes, one day I WILL try it.You are always an inspiration — thanks so much –Jackie
