>Man’s Best Friend

>

Someone once said that the dog is man’s best friend. That might be true, but I also think the television could also be considered one of man’s best friends, and I think that Charlie Harper would agree. Charlie Harper is a character in what is currently my favourite sitcom, Two and a Half Men, and he is played by Charlie Sheen.

Of course, everyone knows that Charlie’s two best friends are strippers and booze… and more strippers. *lol* But, television should be right up there on his list for the following reasons: He can watch strippers on TV without going broke. He can turn down the volume on the TV, unlike the scantily-clad women he brings home. He can turn the TV off, unlike his whacked-out mother, who he has no control over. He can enjoy TV while enjoying his other 2 friends, strippers & booze. And, unlike his stalker next-door neighbor Rose, it won’t psychoanalyze why he enjoyed all 3 of his friends at once=;)

I rarely watch TV, but when I do, I watch
Two and a Half Men…. and coincidentally, it’s on tonight on CBS🙂 But, before I turn on the tube, I’d like to point out why I decided to use yellow seed beads for my vintage TV. Yellow is a typical colour from the 1970’s, but it is also a colour that I haven’t used very often. And, like sitcoms, yellow makes me smile:)

What is your favourite sitcom?

  1. >Favorite and only program I regularly watch is the British sitcom ‘As Time Goes By’ on PBS —- for many reasons, I love this program. Have a wonderful trip and enjoy every moment of it. Take lots of photos to share with us.Safe journey, LB.

  2. >I don’t watch sit-coms. I don’t like them or thier values. I like “Bones” on Fox but that is a who done it of the forensic anthroplogists kind. I also like ‘Ace of Cakes’ on Food network and “What Not to Wear” and “Little People” and that is about it for me.

  3. >I only watch a few shows…24, AI, Southpark and House. No cable at our house, and that’s a good thing. I have to say, whenever, I do catch a bit of 2 1/2 Men, I laugh loudly!I love that you’re doing a beaded vintage TV! Looking forward to the outcome.

  4. >Hmmmm. My favorite. Not sure. I love “The New Adventures of Old Christine” and “Scrubs”, and “Girlfriends.” I also love “Medium”, “Grey’s Anatomy”, “Law & Order”, and “ER” but I don’t know if they are officially sitcoms.

  5. >Well Grays Anatomy is mine, but 2 1/2 men is my husbands. He won’t miss it.I like watching dancing with the stars after we’re done watching 2 1/2.

  6. >Lost, Scrubs reruns, and the discovery channel are pretty much the only tv I watch any more. My favorite thing is a marathon of Dirty Jobs on Discovery while I bead!

  7. >I have never heard of this sit-com. I liked to watch Alf, Who’s the boss (German: Wer ist hier der Boss) & The Nanny (German: Die Nanny) in the past. But I don’t watch TV series currently, I don’t have time. The only show that I must not miss is a show with German Comedians, they act on a stage, they have to improvise and sometimes they receive funny instructions via small headphones and have to excercise them. That’s really, really funny. Is there something similar in the States? Here is a You Tube link to the most cruel instructions the Comdians received, only to give you an idea about the show:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KU_HZtbaS3YBy the way, it is always shot in Cologne.😉
