Dear friends, thanks to this month’s feature in AKC Family Dog Magazine, my Etsy shop has been keeping me busy! Check out the latest custom beaded dog pin I have created:
It’s a beaded Choodle (Chi-Poo) – or Chihuahua Poodle mix in blonde and apricot colors. This designer dog brooch was created by stitching tiny glass seed beads to felt 2-3 at a time. I have also added a tiny sterling silver heart charm on his collar. Here you can see how this piece looks as a pendant:
And, here is the photo my customer sent for inspiration. Ozzy the Choodle looks just like my beaded pin.. or perhaps it it’s the other way around? What do you think? ;)
If you are interested in custom beaded dog jewelry or framed pet portrait, please see my Etsy shop or Facebook page for more details, or use the Contact form above. Thank you for your interest in my beadwork! :)
Today, I am thrilled to announce that my beaded cuff bracelet, Poodle in Public Garden, won an award in the Fire Mountain Gems 2015 Seed Bead Jewelry Making Contest! :O
Yesterday, I received these framed photos along with a gift certificate to Fire Mountain Gems!
I am always surprised on the rare occasions that I do win an award because I don’t create pieces with contests in mind. I simply create what I love! You can view more photos of this piece in my Etsy shop HERE. Thank you for your interest in my beadwork! :)
Dear friends, I am celebrating 600 sales in my Etsy shop! Thanks so much for all your support and encouragement. It has been a wonderful journey so far.. one bead at a time! :)

The past few days, it has been extremely hot here in Boston, and I have been very busy! I am preparing for a week -long visit to Newbury Handmade Market. I will be selling some of my beadwork there from July 11-17. I have made a few new items for the event, including a tiny blue & gray beaded Poodle pendant! This poodle was made using size 11 and size 15 seed beads. It measures 3.5 cm x 3.5 cm. This poodle can also be made in other colors upon request. Please click the pic to view more details:)
Also, I am currently running a holiday sale on Etsy! Now through Sunday, all bead embroidery kits, patterns, and felt shapes will be 15% off the regular price. Please visit my Facebook page to check the progress of my latest piece, or download my iPhone app from iTunes today! Happy beading:)
I have been busy the past few weeks. I am preparing for a week long Newbury Handmade Market next month, so I started restocking some of my most popular Etsy items, such as beaded Pugs and Poodles.. Then, inspiration hit and I made my first beaded Poodle cuff bracelet! :D
This 2″ bracelet was made by stitching tiny glass seed beads and vintage German glass flowers and leaves to felt. Beadwork was mounted onto a blank metal cuff and lined with Ultrasuede. If you would like to view the progress of my bead embroidery, please see this album on Facebook.
I decided to call this piece ‘Poodle in Public Garden‘ because it reminds me of all the adorable dogs I always see walking in the Boston Public Garden. It is currently available for sale in my Etsy shop.
This piece can also be customized to include the beaded dog breed of your choice. If you would like to order your own custom ‘Public Garden’ beaded bracelet, please see my Etsy shop for more details.. or use the Contact form above:) Thanks for looking! :D
