There is a new beaded poodle available for sale in my Etsy shop! This is a tiny black bead-embroidered poodle which was made with size 11 and size 15 seed beads. This piece can be worn as a pin or a pendant. This design can also be made in your favourite color upon request:)
I have also created new beaded Pug earrings! These are very tiny. They were made with size 15 seed beads and sterling silver fish hooks. These earrings were made in a freeform peyote stitch technique – they actually move when you touch them. This pair of earrings sold VERY quickly. Currently, they are listed on Etsy as made-to-order. Please click the pics for more details.
These items will make the perfect gifts for the dog lover in your life. Order early and beat the holiday rush.. Thanks for your interest in my beadwork! :D
There is a new doggie pin available for sale in my Etsy shop – a Spinone Italiano!
I had not heard of this rare breed until one of my Twitter friends suggested I make one, so here it is! This piece was created by stitching tiny size 15 glass seed beads to felt 2-3 at a time. I used 7 different colors for the first layer of beadwork. Then, using brown thread, I layered clear-glass beaded fringe over top of the other beads to create the dog’s furry legs & ears..
I am really proud of how it turned out! It looks great as a pin, but it can also be worn as a pendant. Please click the pics to view the listing on Etsy. What kind of dog should I bead next? :D
Last week, I received a new custom order for a beaded Pitbull pin. I was excited about making one since this one was a Blue Nose Pitbull.
After deciding on a photo to use, I worked on a drawing. As you can see the perspective of this dog is much different than my other beaded dogs..
Using my drawing as a template, I cut out several layers of felt and stitched them together. First, I stitched gray 13/o charlottes and white 15/o seed beads. I really like this color, but I wanted to incorporate some blue. So, after finishing the first layer of beadwork, I layered transparent matte blue seed beads over the gray. This piece is heavily beaded now!
When looking at this piece up close on a computer screen, it may look like the dog is striped with blue & gray. BUT in real life, this pin is very small – just 5cm x 5cm- so the eye really blends these 2 colors together when viewing from a distance. It looks much more unique than just a plain gray Pitbull! How do you think he looks? :D
After much thought, I decided to list this item as Made-to Order in my Etsy shop. Please note color choices when ordering. This piece can be made in black, blue, brown, gray, or red. What kind of dog should I bead next? :D
Who love Pugs? My beaded Pug pins have recently become one of my best sellers on Etsy! My latest one is all black. I used 15/o charlotte seed beads for sparkle, as well as steel gray for contrast. How does he look?
Now, this item is available in either black or fawn color. Please specify color when ordering HERE. For those who may be interesting in making your own beaded Pug pin, I am in the middle of writing the pattern & instructions, so please stay tuned:)
I have also finished making another baby pink beaded poodle pin. I started beading this miniature poodle at last week’s bead embroidery workshop. I used bubblegum pink 8/o seed beads, as well as ceylon white Delicas.
Here’s how it looks as a pendant! Adorable, right? ;) Please click the pics to view more photos on Etsy:)

In the last photo, you will see my latest custom order, a beaded Puli dog pin! This one was quite a challenge to make, as I used tiny 1x4mm Czech micro bugle beads! On Facebook, I noted that I broke at least one bead, one beading needle, and one thread while working on this, but it was worth it. Click the pic for a closer look:) Hope I have better luck beading my Poodle Collar Necklace! :O
