Also, check out my latest custom order – a beaded Norwegian Forest Cat pin. This keepsake pendant was created by stitching several shades of size 15 seed beads to felt 2-3 at a time. Then, I layered tiny 1x4mm Czech glass maco tube beads to create realism. I also used a tiny freshwater pearl for the nose. Below you can see how this pin looks when worn as a pendant!
The holidays are fast approaching! If you are interested in ordering a custom beaded pet pin, please see my Etsy shop for more details. These can be made as pins & pendants. Earring designs and framed miniature pet portraits can be created as well. Thank you for your interest in my beadwork! :D

Yesterday, I received an email stating that my bead embroidery has been featured on the Pawesome Cats website! I am honored! Please stop by and take a peek, comment, or share. Thanks for your interest in my beadwork! :D
This week, I finished working on a special custom order. One of the pins I made was a beaded orange & white cat named Butterscotch. He was made by stitching Japanese size 15 seed beads and 13/o charlottes to felt. I layered the beads to create a furry texture. He measures approx. 5.5cm x 5.5cm. Do you like him? Please check my Facebook page to view more beaded cats & dogs:)
Also this week, I took the time to enter the FedEx Small Business Grant Contest, just for fun! Please stop by to vote for my Etsy shop by clicking on the photo below. You can vote once per day now through Feb. 23.
If this link does not work, you can also try to vote on THIS PAGE by clicking on ‘Vote for a Business‘ and searching for The Lone Beader. Please feel free to share the link with others, too! Every vote helps small businesses stand out from the crowd, helping them win one of ten small business grants! Thank you for your consideration! :D
Finally, I made a new beaded cat pin!
This cat was inspired by my friend’s cat named JoJo who lives in London. He is a bicolor cat who looks a lot like Sylvester! I used size Japanese seed beads for the entire piece, layering 15/o charlottes for extra sparkle. This cat’s long hair is beaded fringe which actually moves when you touch it. I haven’t made a lot of cats because their nose and eyes are difficult to bead at this scale, but I am really happy with how this one turned out. This piece is now available for sale in my Etsy shop – please click the pic for more photos. How does he look? :D
